IMPORTANT UPDATE – Temporary Closure, Curbside Pick-up, Home Delivery, and Grocery Services

Greetings UClub members, Tower patrons, friends and fellow foodies. Do you want the good news or bad news first? Well you’re used to the bad news right now, so we’ll start there…
 
Okay, here’s the BAD NEWS: In support of directives from national emergency management and state/local government officials, we have considered the impact COVID-19 will have on our members and our staff. It is with that consideration and with mixed emotions, we are writing to inform you that we have made the difficult decision to close our Club dining rooms and Member Bar for lunch and dinner service effective Tuesday, March 17, 2020. We did not make this decision lightly, but in order to do our part to #FlattenTheCurve and follow the guidance of emergency officials, we have to do the right thing. We will continue to monitor CDC guidelines and emergency orders from government officials as we make plans to reopen in-Club dining once we are on the other side of this pandemic.
 
Now, for the GOOD NEWS, hooray! In the past few days, your University Club culinary team and staff have been working hard to present CURBSIDE PICK-UP, HOME DELIVERY, and GROCERY services to you, our members! We are also including beer & wine home purchases with pick-up and delivery, so cheers to that!! We are so excited to offer these services to you, and we encourage you to start taking advantage right away.

Thank you to all of the members and friends who have reached out over the past week to express your concern and give us your support as we navigated how to address the ever-changing COVID-19 concerns. Many of you have asked how you can help or what you can do in the weeks ahead to help us and our incredible staff. Here’s a short list of ways YOU can make this difficult time a little less so…
 
  • Order a CURBSIDE pickup or HOME DELIVERY, and order often! Our small team of chefs and staff will continue to follow strict OSHA and CDC guidelines to ensure your food is prepared in the safest environment and makes its way to your car or doorstep with highest standards and sanitization.
  • RECOMMEND our curbside pick up to your friends, family, and neighbors. We are allowing NON-MEMBERS to take advantage of our curbside services, as we can all use a little extra yumminess in the stressful weeks ahead. Share our services on Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter if you’re able, and like our posts about Curbside in the weeks ahead.
  • SHARE the LOVE by sending a meal to loved ones who are immunosuppressed and cannot visit the grocery store. You can send the gift of a family style meal to friends who are struggling to cope with the financial impact of COVID-19.
  • TIP your Curbside or Home Delivery staff. Our UClub team consists of servers and bartenders who have loyally served our membership, many of them for over 10 years, and they have been impacted the most by the COVID-19 restrictions in place. Please help by taking care of them, every little bit counts!
  • PAY it FORWARD: consider supporting the UClub by purchasing gift certificates for you to use after we reopen or perhaps as a gift to family and friends. The UClub is privately owned by Kelly Santel & Jessica Lee who have served you for the past 19 years, and we are a LOCAL BUSINESS who needs your support. To sweeten the deal, we are offering $100.00 in gift certificates for $80.00, a 20% discount. Email us to purchase future deliciousness!
  • REBOOK and REBOUND: once we’ve gotten on the other side of this pandemic, please come up to dine with us at the UClub, and enjoy the best view around. We welcome you to dine with us as soon as we are able to reopen in the weeks ahead.
